I saw this insect on the side of the road and just kept bending over more & more asking myself… WTF??? Brought it home on a scrap of cement bag with instructions for mixing cement on it. Thought if I photographed it then it enlarged it I could figure it out better. The red fur part seems to be its hind part but heck, I don’t know…

This is the spider I stole from the predator and used in my foto collage DAYDREAMING. Looking at it enlarged like this it gives me the creeps. Both look like sci-fi creations…

One day by chance I began these “collages” which are images taken from a book of Bettina Rheims fotos with 3 dimensional objects placed on them. In the case of this spider, I was about to call it a day after a strenuous Sunday when I noticed a waspish blue wing tinted insect dragging this half alive spider somewhere. I stole its victim and made it mine…

I have one chair in my new home, a rickety chair with an old straw seat which was here upon arrival. The chair in this picture was in Marie’s place and could only be used when up against a wall otherwise it was too dangerous to sit on it. I loved it when I saw it, took it to a carpenter to fix, although it is way too crippled to be repaired entirely being shorter on one leg, with a seat that is uneven and a back that is warped. I painted it and now have two chairs in my home…

Miguel and one of his fighting cocks which won a fight yesterday but its legs were injured by the sharp metal spurs worn by the opponent cock. Miguel gives his many fighting cocks Gatorade and Coca-Cola, assuming these drinks are nutritious for them.

I do not know what is happening… an insect plague, the end of a life cycle. Winged insects fly desperately without leaving the ground anymore. Fluorescent green Japanese beetles, black furry bumble bees, moths, wasps… all die slowly grounded to the earth.

That is her tail, wrapped all around my ass…
